A Peanut and Tree Nut Free Preschool in Andover, KS
New Discoveries is a peanut and tree nut free preschool.
Why? Some of our enrolled children have serious, life threatening allergies. So we take reasonable steps to keep peanuts and tree nuts out of our school.
What Counts as a Tree Nut?
This includes, but is not limited to, almonds, walnuts, pecans, cashews, pistachios, Brazil nuts, and pure almond extract. Always read labels.
Snacks at School
We serve a nutritious snack every day, following KDHE guidelines. If your child cannot eat what we serve, please send a snack made just for them.
Birthdays and Class Parties
No peanut or tree nut products, please.
Read every label carefully.
Skip cupcakes and cake. They get messy for little hands.
Bring napkins, plates, cups, and a favorite snack and drink.
Questions?
If you have a question about a snack or treat, just ask. Call (316) 650-3719. We would rather answer a question than have a worry.
